Our History
119 Ministries began in 2010 with a simple purpose: study the Word carefully, test what we had been taught, and freely share what we believed Scripture was revealing.
Established in 2010
From the beginning, 119 Ministries has operated as a nonprofit ministry centered on biblical teaching. The ministry developed around teachers, a small paid staff, and volunteers who help with administrative, technical, translation, and logistical work. Keeping the organization lean has helped us direct more time and resources toward producing and distributing teachings at no cost to the viewer.
The message before the messenger
A defining principle of 119 has always been that attention should remain on the Word rather than on the personalities presenting it. We do not ask anyone to accept our conclusions because of a title, reputation, or organization. We study, present what we currently understand to be true, and ask everyone to test those conclusions against Scripture.
That posture also means remaining willing to be corrected. Our credibility is not the standard; the Word is. When better biblical evidence requires us to reconsider a conclusion, our responsibility is to follow the evidence rather than defend a position for its own sake.
How the ministry operates today

- Team members and volunteers are distributed across the United States and internationally.
- We continually look for ways to reduce unnecessary costs while increasing the quality and reach of our work.
- Whenever practical, our biblical teaching content is made freely available and easy to share.
Serving beyond teaching
In addition to producing biblical resources, 119 Ministries has also supported people in need in various local capacities, including the homeless, elderly, widows, and orphans. These efforts reflect the same goal that shapes our teaching work: putting the Word into practice rather than treating it as information alone.
Still testing everything
The tools and reach of the ministry have changed considerably since 2010, but the basic assignment has not. We intend to keep studying, testing, creating, and freely sharing as much as Yahweh enables us to do, while keeping the attention where it belongs: on Him and on His Word.
